Riverside looks empty

I dislike Bournemouth as a team but fair play to their fans today. Long distance, weekend before Christmas, early kick off: it shows some serious commitment to their team to get to today’s game.

Yeah, wouldn't criticise them at all for today.

Huge distance to a location with a very bad reputation, early kick off and it's on Sky.

531 isn't that bad all things considered.

I was there today.took seconds to get in after showing pass etc...but won't be going on boxing Day and would be surprised if anyone is there....

Don't have a go at the fans who turned up, they were good - especially South Stand in second half.

Don't have a go at those who didn't go - they have their reasons whether Omicron, weather, Sky TV, timing for travel, closeness to Xmas.

Those who went will all have thoroughly enjoyed it.
Many of those that didn't go will have enjoyed it on TV, including non Boro fans as it was a smashing match.

Agreed.
Great atmosphere at times yesterday, though watching highlights back, it didn't come across quite so we'll on TV.

I did wonder if Sky tuned it down to avoid the anti Sky chants? Did they have the magnanimity to show the RF banner?

From the Bournemouth fans forum 😃
'Really indebted to the Boro fans for unfurling their anti Sky Sports banner. The solidarity was very much appreciated.
Impossible to start the “this place is a **************** hole, I wanna go home” chant after that.'

My journey was pea soup all the way there and back, but was well worth it. No problem gaining entrance either. Doesn’t matter what the attendance was, the atmosphere was great, and that’s what counts. The players really appreciate the fan’s enthusiasm too, you can see that, especially with AS and IJ - they love their chants!!
