Riverside looks empty

A lot of people on Twitter saying it went pretty smoothly.

Would put it more down to fans not wanting to risk the game before Christmas, walk ups being down because it’s the weekend before Christmas, Christmas shopping, maybe some fans already tested positive after doing a LFT.

Checking vaccine passports really isn’t a difficult process.

I don't think the passport or flow test is a 'hassle'. I think if you want to go it's not an issue.

The threat of covid and a busy period of games coming up will maybe make fans pick and choose. An early kick off on sky will make this one that's not a 'priority'.

Dont say it too loudly but i remember a pre xmas game where the club actually put a ticket offer on. May have been against Charlton. Not that a ticket offer would have made a jott of difference to todays gate

I remember that game. Took the whole family. I think we won 3.1 There was over 30,000 there. Was it not 5 quid for kids or something?

All went smoothly. Just had to show my covid pass and season ticket as ID to a steward outside the turnstile.

Overhead them telling one lad he'd have to take a lateral flow test and they took him aside to be tested, so they must have had them available on site.

Really well done by the club today.
No issue at all getting in, or on concourse.

I can understand a lot of people not bothering today given the Covid status/concerns.
It was also live on SKY the weekend before Christmas, was Baltic and the fog hasn't lifted all day.
Those of us who did go were rewarded by a really good match and a hugely encouraging performance and win.

Absolute doddle to get in, but there will have been a variety of factors reducing rhe attendance.

Some will have had Covid, some will have been scared of Covid, some will have been put off by the weather and the fact it was on Sky and some morons will have refused to go because they have to be vaccinated or prove they don't have Covid.

One of the better atmospheres for a while after we took the lead though, even if it was the smallest crowd of the season.

18,300 there today. That's a great attendance considering the time of year and the doubts going round.

It will have been fewer.
The season ticket cap will have ensured it was above a certain point regardless of how many turned up.

It wasn't an awful attendance though because of the severe doubts and circumstances.

Just going off the sky sports report.

Well-organised by the club today.

Several reasons for a low crowd today: last Saturday before Xmas; Covid issues; crap kick off time; on TV; fairly horrible weather, Bournemouth never likely to bring too many.

Thought the atmosphere was still decent though; we've had worse with full houses.
