Rishi Sunak resignation apparently

Can’t see it myself but the rumours are that the cabinet meeting hasn’t gone well and Rishi Sunak has resigned.

It’s a complete shambles regardless.
If true then he must fancy a crack at the leadership, getting in position, I'd say he's the only tory to come out of this with any kind of credit

If we’ve got no money left and Trump looks like losing can also see a u-turn coming on the Brexit trade talks.

I’m not sure why Rishi Sunak is so highly regarded - is it because he’s young and looks smart- he came up with eat out to help out which in hindsight was not the best idea. He’s spent probably more than any other chancellor. I’m not sure why people think he is so great!?

I hope not, he's done exceptionally well throughout,

No he hasn't, he excluded 3 million people from financial support during lockdown on a technicality, while removing a similar technicality for TUPED workers which massively benefitted his step father's business interests.

He's no better the any of them, other than he can articulate a sentence.

There wont be a leadership challenge imho.

Boris will be told to resign post brexit, not before. Nobody will want to be tainted just yet. Anyone resigning from the government just now could be shooting themselves in the foot unless they have solid reasons backed up with data (imho).

I'd say so. Although how much credit he actually deserves is questionable given the circumstances he got the job. How many of his "decisions" were actually Cummings'? Still he comes across ok which immediately puts him above pretty much any other member of the cabinet. Even if it is a very low bar.

Perhaps Cummings will jump ship with him.

what sort of u turn?

Pretty sure it was always the intention to get a skinny deal just so they could claim they got a deal.

No time for anything leading to significant alignment/rule (sic) by Europe, so are you thinking an extension?
