Rishi Sunak resignation apparently

I’m not sure why Rishi Sunak is so highly regarded - is it because he’s young and looks smart- he came up with eat out to help out which in hindsight was not the best idea. He’s spent probably more than any other chancellor. I’m not sure why people think he is so great!?
In hindsight it wasn't smart? Do you have any idea how many people would currently be on the dole if it never happened? 🤔

You are looking at millions.

His tilt for the leadership started sometime ago with the private briefing of the right wing press, much of which has bought into his pitch.

The party support for Boris is split and seemingly his support eroding - I'd be surprised if Sunak has resigned as it would be seen politically as a huge gamble and one he doesn't have to take - not yet anyway.

He won’t want to be part of what’s coming next. All the money he’s thrown at the problem will be wasted and Eat our to Help out has been identified as a major cause of the second wave. Johnson/Cummings will clip his wings with that!

I’m reading serious people analysing the Uni of Warwick report who have already identified that they did not factor in individuals travel behaviour which the ONS has already stated that foreign travel through August was a key element in reseeding the virus in the UK population. They are looking at A few other possible inputs as well.
I have a feeling that this report may end up being reworked pretty quickly, but the headlines will stick, which is a shame for the hospitality industry which in my experience of it was extremely well delivered.

I think this lot would make Desperate Dan seem more appealing than Boris.

Sunak only looks "sort of OK" because he's being measured relative to the rest of his totally inept government colleagues.
If indeed he stays let’s see how popular is when he has to recoup the money he has spent in the form of unpopular taxes. It’s easy to like him when he’s dishing out cash like there is no tomorrow.

Yet that is only one side of the coin. The economic benefits vs the health benefits is the balancing act that those in power need to manage. Personally I value life over money.

Perhaps Cummings will jump ship with him.

No chance. He doesn't give a feck about politics does he? Just bothered about pushing his weirdo and misfit agenda and that of his (alleged) shady backers. Probably can't believe he's got a weak and lazy individual like Boris to manipulate. He's as likely to move on as a Frenchman living next to a brothel.

Sunak delivers his messages with conviction, looks like he’s prepared and looks like he knows his own stuff. That’s why people regard him. Is it just a front though

I think a lot of this rise of infections can be put at the door of universities and travellers from Asia.
Nobody dare acknowledge the 2nd .

From August, a single farm in Spain is the source of 70-80% of European cases and 50% of UK cases based on the strain identified in the recent UK survey.
Is that right? Wow thats amazing. Goes to show how virulent it can be
