He's a patsy for Cummings. We edge closer to a dictatorship. Javed resigned because they wanted Cummings approved advisors for him and more power to the PM. If you aren't really worried by this you don't really understand what's happening here.
Still at least we got brexit done.
It’s a terrible appointment. The guy has little experience and absolutely a yes man for Johnson and Cummings. Is it really too much to ask that the PM and the Chancellor are on the same page? One of the biggest problems of recent years was Hammond being so at odds with May. I'd definitely prefer not to have a yes man and that the chancellor can challenge the PM so I don't think Sunak is a good appointment in that respect.
It's not them "being on the same page". It's Cummings wanting to get BJ, and by inference himself, more power. Is it really too much to ask that the PM and the Chancellor are on the same page? In this particular instance I doubt you can call it the 2nd most powerful politician in the country. He will do as he is told. There’s no wielding of power involved.Just how has this son in-law of a powerful billionaire had such a meteoric rise to the second most powerful politician in the country?
Fair enough but on paper at least. Generally speaking, the COE would usually have a pretty good chance of one day leading the party/country.In this particular instance I doubt you can call it the 2nd most powerful politician in the country. He's getting rid of some of the Brexit MPs who helped him to where he is.
