RIP Sinead O Connor

She was who she was. Never used what fame she had for anything but good.
Never played the game that is expected of you in the business.
“I have never wanted more than I have”
Judging by the huge amount of other artists posting messages.
She had the best thing you can expect in her business.
The obvious love and respect of those she loved and respected.

Probably not the most popular figure on this board but Morrissey is on the money here

Is he though ?

I get where he's coming from on one level, but surely he's also falling foul of what he's criticising in that he's only speaking out about how badly Sinead O'Connor was treated now she's dead, and unless I'm wrong he wasn't standing up for her previously ?

It's also unlike him to turn someone else's tragedy into something about himself, the narcissistic bellend.

As some may know I'm a big fan of Ren, the amazing artist from Brighton. A few months before she passed away Sinead posted this:

Sorry about the naughty words, Sinead's not mine!

RIP Sinead, a trailblazer who was treated terribly for daring to speak up about the injustices in the world. Became famous early and paid for it. Will be sadly missed
