RIP Glenn Roeder

They’ve just mentioned it on Sky Sports and Gary Neville said he was a good man.

Fantastic, great action shot photo that

I still recall building up to that game, FAC 6th round, free scoring Boro at home to 2nd division struggles Orient, banker home win on the cards
Orient manager Jimmy Bloomfield came off his sickbed to attend the match, with much travelled John Jackson in goal, but it was Glenn Roader who stood out in that game, 35k at the match
Billy Ashcroft missed a sitter which should have put us into the semi final & history
Boro even put a picture of the miss on the follow seasons programme cover

I remember being outside Loftus Road before the 1982 cup game when the QPR players were arriving.
We were asking all the players who they were.
Most of them blanked us but Roeder answered with a dignified (and surprisingly formal) "Glenn Roeder, defender".
Simon Stainrod made us laugh but I can't remember why. I think he said something funny about Terry Vebables

Very sad news, always seemed a likeable character in the game. The comments from those who worked with him and played under him says it all. RIP.
