RIP Alfie

It's one of the most awful feelings when they leave this earth and my thoughts are with you all mate. I always think its one of nature's cruellest twists that our dogs don't last as long as we do. It truly is unconditional.
I'm currently off sick after achilles tendon surgery and my boy doesn't leave my side. You can actually see the worry on his face when I get up on the crutches.
Your fella obviously had a great life with even greater owners so be proud of the love and good times you shared.1000021633.jpg

Sorry for you loss , its hard , but remember all the good times and the great life you gave Alfie.

Thank you so much to everyone for your kind thoughts and words.

My 11 year old daughter is heartbroken so she's getting plenty cuddles, but I feel a bit useless because I can't take her hurt away. I know it's all perfectly normal and as clichéd as it is, it's just a case of giving ourselves time to heal.

Thanks again everyone, this board really is a fantastic place.

That's really sad weegord, losing a beloved pet is heartbreaking. I hope you and your daughter are doing okay. Take care.

What a beautiful dog. To have given you all so much love he must have felt loved too. Condolences to you all.

Feel for your Loss WeeGord, he was a fine looking dog and I'm sure had a great life with you and the family.

Most handsome dog I've ever seen, proving that the saying that dogs look like their owners is utterly incorrect.

The best friend the animal kingdom could ever have given me, and a loyal and daft dog until the end.

Heartbreaking times and I'm going to miss you terribly.

Sorry to hear that mate
They are such a big part of our lives - and we are all of theirs - so it's devastating when they pass away
