Is it just me that finds his arrogance unbearable. Asked last night who he thought England would prefer in the final, he said England would easily beat both. Is that the Italian side that has conceded one goal in 90 minutes and is unbeaten in 33 games Rio?

Rio is spot on though.

I don’t see it as arrogance , maybe he’s just getting a bit carried away but it’s good to see him back his country in this way. I quite liked his confidence!

Surely he's got to play to the audience somewhat? Whilst I don't agree with him I'd be more surprised if he said either of these would beat England comfortably.

Nope. Not arrogance.

Both last night were poor and definitely beatable.

The injury of Spinazolla to Italy looks to have had a huge affect on the way they play.

Spain should and could have easily scored 3/4 goals last night. But like they have done all tournament, Spain have wasted a number of chances.

Best pundit out there right now IMO.
I never took to him as a player but warmed to his personality since.
His celebration during the German game was fantastic.
Nice to see an ex player enjoying being a fan.

And tbh that Fergie team that Ferdinand was part of, Giggs, Beckham, Keane, Scholes and the Nevilles...... they all came across as being a bunch of self important arrogant cocks. That was the culture of that team driven by Fergie. It worked though.

I think he's a good guy and a good pundit, but he's definitely gone off on one here.

It's weird because in his day the England team was over-hyped by the media and as a player he must have experienced the pressure caused by the weight of expectation and the effect it had on the players and now here he is as a pundit doing exactly the same.

England are really good and they've got a chance of winning, but one thing is certain: neither Denmark nor Italy (nor Spain had they got through) are going to be beaten easily.
