The club does provide updates but how detailed/accurate those updates are is another question.

I think the manager and many other managers don’t like the opposition knowing when or how long our players are out for.

It isn't an easy one to update on. But fingers crossed he is playing again for us in January.
 
Wife has had this for years,comes & go,s with no warnings, tried all sorts of jabs etc. Very dodgy injury in a physical contact sport with lots of running /pressure foot

My wife is hobbling about now with it and had to have special insoles made for her shoes. It just comes and goes and nothing special sets it off.

I don't think she's available for tomorrow night's game. ;)

He is hopefully going to be starting training this week - has been making significant progress according to Carrick.
Obviously Carrick doesn't want to give minute by minute updates on a recovery that has to be carefully nursed along.
 
I got metatarsal fasciitis in my mid-30s. Playing 5-a-side turned into agony. No real treatment for it. I have decent insoles that means if I am careful I can walk a couple of miles without setting it off but running for more than a few minutes is just not an option. Not really sure how any professional athlete can cope with any form of chronic foot pain.
 
My eldest son had it through his teens.
He used to moan about it being sore and we all thought he was just lazy. I felt really bad about it when we discovered he hadn't been putting anything on.
He got insoles for his shoes made and has been wearing insoles ever since.
Very very sore.
 
If he plays afgain in the next 2 months iwould be suprised ...not being doom , seen this thing for years .......& shes a **** footballer :)
