Right, Port Vale then

Depends what your interpretation of steep is, I have pre-booked through the PV website at the Dimensions sports centre close to the stadium for £8. People have already laughed at that, but most away games it’s anywhere between a fiver and a tenner if you want your motor to be in a secure environment. Good luck with finding Done a space somewhere.
Well, yeah, it’s relative. £8 is steep for me if there is a load of offstreet parking to be had for the asking, but is fairly reasonable if the best you can do short of being half an hour away is a tenner anyway l paid the £5 at Hull because it’s a really well organised set up and there is nothing on street. I parked on the street for Bradford in an earlier round because it was a piece of cake. I just wanted some inside info on what my options might be here

Might be an argument for playing Kavanagh in this game? Lath is playing quite a bit at the minute and we have West Brom in Saturday. Kavanagh has played at this level before.

I'd play Rogers and Silvera out wide and probably rest VDB with Clarke coming back in.

No chance of playing Kavanagh man. It's a Quarter Final, got to play a strong team.

Quite a big ask to come in from the start in a cup QF. I’d be willing to bet it will be something along the lines of:

Glover
Dijksteel VDB Clarke Bangura
Howson Barlaser
Rogers Crooks Silvera
ELL

Ideally if we can get a lead we could give some time to Gilbert, Kav, Coulson etc… but I doubt it’s going to go that way.

This is an absolutely horrible fixture for us IMO. Boro teams right through the ages, probably barring McClaren’s Boro to be honest, and possibly Aitor, have lost this type of cup match. In my lifetime I can think of Cardiff at home under Lennie, Tranmere, Wrexham and possibly Swansea at home under Robbo, Cardiff under Gareth, Burton and Newport under Pulis, Barnsley I think bear is at home under Wilder or Warnock? Did Crewe win as well? I’m sure there’s more from my lifetime.

I was sort of excited and optimistic when the draw was made but the closer it gets to kick off, the more you start to worry about being on the end of a cup upset and missing out on a couple of really exciting showpiece games under the lights.

Thanks! Any of these channels on a pay for a single match, rather than monthly subscription, which I then need to cancel?

Port Vale are a bog standard league one side. In fact they probably aren’t even that - they’ve struggled to score goals and have a poor goal difference. It’s a nailed on defeat I’m afraid 😵‍💫
