I'd play the strongest 11 available. It's a terrific chance to get to a lucrative semi (Crowd/TV money).
I'd say a great chance of getting to a final. Yet unlikely with the teams still in the competition.
So go full strength. That includes starting Dieng if fit. I'm really not convinced by Glover in the cup. WBA isn't until Saturday. So just play the best 11 available. We will never have a better chance than playing Port Vale. That said I'm sure they will be thinking the same as at home.

I feel it's a real potential cup upset this game now. I would play Dieng in goal, he's going to be sat on a bench in January not doing anything for a while and Glover will be getting 1st team experience for us then. Dijiksteel needs 1st team runouts, and I would brink Clarke back in for Fry, try to keep our defence as solid as possible. I'd swap Rodgers for Crook and Silvera for Greenwood, I'm not sure what to do about Howson, He needs rests but who do you bring in for him?

Anybody in Playa Blanca on Tuesday for the game. Hundreds of barcode shirts regularly on display in the last 10 days and as they also play Tuesday night it would be good to be in a bar where I am not the only Boro shirt!!

Port Vale probably couldn’t have played us at a better time. I don’t know if they have any key players out but we have to play our strongest 11 on Tuesday and I am sure the manager will.

With Port Vale ground being just 20miles from MC's house/estate do you think he'll just 'meet the lads there' on the early evening . There'll be no real training Tues morning of any note so it's just an organise and travel day and can't see him coming over just to get on coach and come back the same journey.

I'd guess it would be 18 of the 20 man squad yesterday with Jamie Jones and maybe McCabe on the bench with no Greenwood and presumably no Dieng

I will be cery surprised if Carrick doesn't rest some of his players. They have, largely, played 2 games a week for some time now and a few of them look like they need a week off.
He can have them as reinforcements on the bench should the game not be going our way.

If we do get through abd if we did draw Liverpool I think they would play a weakened side the first leg but if they needed a result in the second leg they would play a team that was string enough to get it.
Aby of the Premier League teams would be a tough ask so I'd rather get a big semi final cup tie with the horse beaters

It won't be as none of the previous cup games were. Next season all the league Cup games are on sky red button this doesn't help us this year though
