That's what I recall, but it was a while ago now!I seem to think it was reported we paid somewhere in the region of 10p for every pound. I could be wrong.

If they do, I'll be on the blower late March to negotiate mine.................As far as I'm aware HMRC doesn't do deals.
Not should they. If they do not enforce the debt it just becomes another mechanism by which the nefarious and incompetent can avoid paying their debts
Can't agree more with the above and why I was embarrassed that Gibson was persuing damages from them.I’m not comfortable with Boro fans joking and poking fun at another club on the verge of liquidation. It’s in poor taste and ignores our club’s history.
Yes, the people in charge made mistakes and yes, social media has allowed some of their most vocal fans to brag and boast about gaming the system before it all collapsed in on them, but that doesn’t represent the majority of people who just want to see their local club play football on a weekend.
They have been found out and they’re being punished. We need to let it go and move on. Kicking them while they’re down only serves to make our fans look bad.
Don't get your point 'nowthen'Starbucks, Vodafone, Amazon don’t think so.

Whilst I agree that it's in bad taste to poke fun at Derby right now I absolutely support Gibsons decision to challenge the rule breaking, despite the sad consequences for Derby supporters. Can't agree more with the above and why I was embarrassed that Gibson was persuing damages from them.
i'm only embarrassed at the size of the claim. There should be compensation for being cheated out of a league position and play off spot, that's for sure. Clubs should feel the threat of legal action for cheating is a viable and legitimate threat in future. Can't agree more with the above and why I was embarrassed that Gibson was persuing damages from them.

Also don’t forget about players that we tried to sign and they gazumped us. Plus if we ended up paying more in wages/transfer fees if Derby came in for a player where we had an agreement.agree to a certain extent was expecting around 10mil but looks like he basically thought a playoff position gives you a 25% chance of promotion with that promotion worth approx 180milion so he went with a quarter of that figure.
He's saying HMRC does make deals and he's right, certainly multinational companies that don't declare any profits in the UK make "arrangements" to keep HMRC onside. They negotiate some payment based on the reported revenue that's less than they would pay if they made 5% profit from UK operations.Don't get your point 'nowthen'
Perhaps we could come up with an offer of settlement?Who is going to pay Gibson his £46mil if this happens ?
