Red radio

Surely you've paid the money to be able to meet TLF haven't you?

I agree it's a bit dodgy to give the impression you can only experience the event by buying a ticket but listening to it will be gash compared to being there mate
If that was the case the extra money would definitely be worth it. Best player I've ever seen in a boro shirt and I'm 50. My daughters 28 and even though he wasn't at his best when she saw him, she still adores him

My dad is in his mid 60s and loves the bloke and my 9 year old has only ever seen him on YouTube clips.

Unfortunately I'm on 24/7 call this week otherwise I was going to take my lad even though we live 250 miles away.

It'll be brilliant pal 👍🏻

Sorry you're gonna miss out this time mate. It happens so often for me, which is why this one is going to be so special. I hope you can make the next one. 👍

Great night by the way. Not the usual format. Great to see Juninho and Higgy again. Also great to see Juninhos son who is a born and bred Teesider getting T T Teesider chants. Great to see Eric a lifelong Boro fan living his dreams on stage also 👍
Glad you enjoyed it mate 👍

Nothing like being there despite the possibility of the sour taste / broadcast issue.

Glad you enjoyed it pal. I never listened to it live, hoping there's a replay available. Did you get to meet TLF and get a photo?
Unfortunately not. There was over 2000 there. We had good seats though so we could see them clearly without having to rely on the big screens. Glad I paid the money. Not just to see them which was awesome but also amazing to spend quality time with my daughter and her future husband 👍

Must be like a strange dream to Eric - he spent the 1980s wandering around the Town with his radio to his ear, right through the darkest days of the Club, now on stage in front of 2,000 fans with one of the best players in the World (in 1997) who helped the Boro win its first major trophy.

Really pleased for you mate, get yourself over to the butchers in Sedgefield for a photo (y)

I'll have to go against the grain here (for a change), it was poorly hosted and I actually felt ashamed if this is the best we can do for a bloke travelling from Brazil.

Dave Roberts was dreadful, outshone as a host by the bloke doing the auction, he had far more going for him.

All in all a poor show.

I think Dave Roberts did a decent job to be fair. He kept himself out of it when he had to and just let the night flow in the most part. Was it the most professionally produced show? No. As for the bloke doing the auction, I thought he was awful to watch, or maybe it was just the whole auction I didn't enjoy. Anyway, different strokes as they say. 👍

That's true, but if you've dished out between 50 and £150 a ticket before the announcement it does feel like you've been ripped off.
Mate if you feel ripped off, if it's sold out then sell your tickets and you'll probably make profit that will probably satisfy any sense of outrage. I'm sure there will be plenty of people who would love to go and be there in person to see the legends rather than through a screen. Then you can sit at home and watch it from your armchair.
I'd imagine if it has sold out they've decided to stream it live for those that couldn't get tickets. Or the likes of me that live overseas. Maybe they underestimated the response so should have looked at a bigger venue (even a back up one if demand was so great they could move it fairly easily).
