I lost all respect for RF when a group of them were starting on two young Birmingham fans last season near the train station. The two young lads must only have been 14 or 15 and were terrified. Fortunately a few Boro fans stepped in.

They need to grow up and realise that they're no different to any other fan or fans groups.

I wasn't even thinking of the red faction incident.. I was thinking of their own meeting.

If they are getting "Special Status" surely they wouldn`t have got banned as they have stated in their statement?

Unless there is something else they are getting away with, that other fans aren`t?

But this is the point. The club didn't ban him, the courts did. It was a legal ban imposed, not a club decision.

This was covered in the thread at the time. They all had their black and yellow hoodies on, and were probably late teens - early 20's

Exactly this. They can claim their mate's innocence all they like, but the club have deemed it fit to ban them for a few games. No smoke without fire as they say

So you accept the club's action without any other info other than "No smoke without fire"?

We have 2 sides and we don`t know from either side the details

I asked a question to another forum member who was willing to pass judgement with no knowledge so I`ll ask the same to you

If you were banned and thought it unjust what would you do?

There won't be full details unless the club disclose them. Have others have said, who do you believe, the club or a group of fans who have form for causing trouble?

The club has form for lying, or at least, shall we say, not exactly being forthcoming with the truth.

The statement specifically says the ban was nothing to do with the pyro incident.

Until I know the full facts I`m not going to believe either side

I`ve asked RF to clarify what they mean by "Unjust bans".

I also know first hand that the club can be heavy handed at times and not take the time to use common sense, an example of this is when they surrounded RF when they used to be in B53b...i.e heavy handed without engagement.

RF should have come out with this prior to their "boyucott" and I think more people would have, kind of, understood their rationale.

It looked like they threw their toys out of the pram over one of RF getting a 5 yr banning order for the pyro.....which now seems not to be the case. Probably bad timing all round, but they haven't covered themselves in any glory - which is a shame as I do think they do great stuff.
