Red Faction??? Was there a boycott?

Yes there was no need for them to be slagged off, but it's difficult for them to receive support when it is unknown why they are not there. It's still pure guesswork.

They've been brilliant for the club and certainly helped brighten the mood during the doldrums of the Strachan years. I would love them to come back. However, the fact they are not there supporting the lads now tells you all you need to know about them (putting themselves before the club).

From the outside looking in it seems like they are almost trying to blackmail the club into letting their mate back into the stadium, but it's a legal decision, nothing to do with the club.

Two things

Why are people talking of them as a thing of the past?

What was their early bird price view I missed this apparently important issue?

Thats what i was thinking last night, i didnt see any empty seats behind the goal, are they attending but without their flags and voices?

There were at least 10 empty seats right where they'd moved to at the start of the season.
Might have been a coincidence and it's not their seats, but that block wasn't full.

The whole thing is just bizarre.

Unjust in whose eyes?
Need to explain why the banning orders were issued and why they felt them ‘unjust’
Nobody is above the ground rules - even RF.
if RF want recognition, respect or sympathy from the fans be more honest and open with details.

RF should have come out with this prior to their "bouycott" and I think more people would have, kind of, understood their rationale.

It looked like they threw their toys out of the pram over one of RF getting a 5 yr banning order for the pyro.....which now seems not to be the case. Probably bad timing all round, but they haven't covered themselves in any glory - which is a shame as I do think they do great stuff.

It’s a bit of an ask for them to be prepared for something that they clearly didn’t expect to happen.

I do think a bit more clarity on exactly what has happened woukd be helpful.

They put out statements re surfers, banners whatever but this time they just didn't show up - right after the 5 yr banning order was dished out.

So simply stating they were - in a display of unison with their comrades who were banned - not attending the Riverside for 3? games, I think more people would have been sympathetic towards them. As it is, their name/image whatever is a bit tarnished after the last couple of months.

Hindsight is great, I know, but I do honestly think RF do great work and hopefully everyone can move on.

why should they have to explain though? Surely a ban is personal/private matter

But the surfers and the banners were planned. Sounds like it was multiple members that were unjustly banned.. so I’m guessing it would take a while for them to get their heads around it.. especially if they were the organisers or prominent members.

Just see how long MSF takes to release the minutes of a meeting that they were all at!

Genuine question - Why do they need to explain though? They’ve explained that individuals have been banned for reasons they believe they were unjust

why should they have to explain though? Surely a ban is personal/private matter
To prevent it from happening again and to gain further support from the wider fan base?
