Red Faction - walking out on 30th minute

Yes, everyone would like it to be cheaper, but he isn’t trying to fleece you all and if he’s putting money in without hesitation and has just written 80m off (or however much it is) then why shouldn’t you push the boat out too?
Because

1 they are taking the p155 and

2 none of us are multi millionaires like Steve Gibson.

If Gibson was struggling to pay his mortgage and energy bills like I am maybe he’d understand why I can’t afford to buy a season ticket

It’s the easy way out by just sticking the prices up to increase revenue every season rather than discuss with the fans different ways of filling the ground every week. Also discussing ways with the fans to increase off field income such as different ways of selling the Club merchandise. (y)

I appreciate each and everyone's view on this and think it is expensive but understand the reasoning as a football club is a business so just like food, drinks and general goods going up why would football be any different, with this in mind what is a price that people would be happy with for a ST?

If it had stated the same would people be happy?

Granted the club didn't show an ounce of care with there advertising was very poor just keen to get a general consensus on what the price should be?

They’re not taking the ****, they’re trying to drum up as much revenue as they can to get promotion

he isn’t asking any of you to put 1m per month into the club

I get that people are skint right now, but his job is to get Boro up not make sure everyone that wants to go, can afford to go.

I guess the key point here is that we don’t have an owner profiting from the fans, he’s still putting 1m per month into the club to stop it folding.

People say there would be no club without fans, but there would be no club without gibbo, or it would be scrapping around league two and most of those complaining and walking out wouldn’t be interested.

Push the boat out. Are you for real.

Why is it acceptable because of his mistakes and the club ******* money up the wall for years and years on the likes of gestede, assombalonga, fletcher, flint, mcdonald, guedioura, van la parra, bolasie, mendez laing... the list is endless. Hes paying to cover most of the **** hes wasted.

And you want people to push the boat out for some of the highest tickets in the Premier league and championship. You say it like its a small one off treat.

"Hes not trying fleece you all" no hes fleecing kids, students and oaps. Hes also fleecing and punishing fans who maybe cant afford season tickets.

Pack of idiots. Hopefully they never come back
Genuine question - where does this intense dislike come from?

I understand young lads at football matches can be morons, but that to me seems independent of red faction membership. I also understand many people don’t like the “ultra-fication” of English football, which is fine too. But in this instance, the young lads and lasses of RF are doing something with the average Middlesbrough fan in mind, and I for one think they should be applauded for their effort.

They will drum up less revenue by the reduced crowds .
By selling Tav , Spence, Payero , Akpom , Rogers and Crooks it looks as though they don't want promotion .
If his job is to get Boro up he is going the wrong way about it , by selling our best players , and lately not bringing in a CF .
Take your blinkers off Mart , the fans ARE the club.
I will be leaving on 30 minutes along with most people I know.

I don't get the hatred shown towards them by some people on here either. They have my full support on this.

Every club makes mistakes. If he was trying to personally profit then my view would be different, but he isn’t, he’s trying to maximise revenue

Daft argument. Goodnight.

I would echo the sentiments of @Emmersons_BrazillianDong

We see this not just with gas and electric, food, travel and trains, heating, rent and water, but with absolutely everything from the price of beer at gigs and in pubs to cinema tickets, online subscriptions for everything from Netflix to football, the Royal Mail, chain coffee shops and on and on and on it goes. Football is right up there.

The prices are going up, up, up. Our wages increase at nowhere near the same rate. Those that continually increase the prices aren’t getting any poorer are they. In fact it’s the opposite. They are getting richer. Richer and richer and richer and richer.

The Boro’s pricing structure is absolutely appalling and has been for years and years. Isn’t it a 20% increase over 3 or 4 seasons? People are already digging deep to back this team. It’s about time people stood up and said enough is enough instead of just sitting there and allowing it to happen.

Good on the Red Faction for standing up for what they believe. It’s to be encouraged imo.
