Red faction statement.. ticket prices

There’s loads of truth in that. Look how the majority of posters on here and elsewhere responded to the Kieron Scott interviews with Tees and the recent podcast. He generated a lot of goodwill from just being open to going on and engaging. You can disagree with him or some of the things he said but at least he was out there, fielding questions and offering information. To just not bother is ridiculous really.
He just needs to spend more time in Stockton before he does it! ;)

Feel sorry for the kids these days, being priced out of what for me turned into (probably) the biggest part of my life as a teen. Creating a haves and have nots system isn't good - if you can't afford it tough sh*t attitude. Going to bite Boro in the bum in a few years unless they establish themselves in the PL.
Yeah, that's where I'm at with the club. I still talk about football and the club every day with friends but I'm not invested enough to actually go.

It's not all the club's fault but they make it worse at every turn if they can find a way to.

Sorry I thought this was the meeting with Gibson Bauser Red Faction and others to stop the protest
Who actually attended that please
Just for clarification

I do have some details around Steve Gibson's argument - but not detailed. I think the details and accuracy are all important. I don't want to give you an incorrect figure.
I hope you understand.
I promise that even if the notes from the meeting between MSForum and RF and the club might not be retrievable, I will endeavour to find a way to get Steve Gibson's argument about pricing presented to the forum.
Surely the club should be doing this. They were given a very good idea of how to do this by Boro BAME Army reps and have not acted upon it.

You might not want to give details until you have them but is it along the lines of justifying the price increase or justifying the baseline price because if he's justifying the increase it's easy but there is no justification for the baseline being so high to begin with.

Was there any acknowledgement of his failure to increase revenue from all sources so he's left with no choice but to exploit fans further?

I have every sympathy with Gibson/MFC regarding the current economic climate, rising costs for everything from floodlights to catering to paying staff to ......running the club. Must be a nightmare for them to keep things going and be expected to produce a promotion challenging squad AND comply with FFP.

We know the huuuuuuge elephant in the room is players wages and agents fees, which I'm sure Gibson is sat with his p*ss boiling daily at the figures for this. Again, rather him than me sorting this. A massive football problem, not an MFC one.

We're in a deprived area of the country. Money tight. Paying some of the most expensive ST and walk-up prices in the Championship for bang average mid table football doesn't grab a lot of people. 6-7-8k empty seats tell you that.

The way the club have set out their pricing structure, the EB debacle, pricing, lack of concessions for U5s / U10s / U16s / U18s, and the fallout made for a dark mood among the fans with the clubs token response seemingly like throwing a bucket of water on a house fire.

The millions upon millions upon millions we have spaffed on Britt, Gestede, Flint, Saville etc shouldn't be a price the fans have to pay, but seems we've had to to keep things going.

I don't know what the answer is. A root and branch review of the pricing structure and having a look at what other clubs are doing may be a good start. But there does seem to be an attitude of "there's nothing wrong with the pricing, if you can't afford it don't come". Not going to bode well for future fans getting hooked.

Sure we all agree this is not the position we want to be as a club. Not healthy.

Can I just say in my opinion the “notes” of these meetings are just not good enough.
The should be fully minuted and freely available to all supporters to read within say 24 hrs of meetings.
Do MFC not employ any secretaries.
Or heaven forbid could just have been live on Zoom or club website.

Yes, commercial is record high - around £6m this year according to the club and I guess a lot of the figures can be pulled out of the published Boro accounts.

May as well have a chat around a table in Wetherspoons. How can you not have a meeting without minutes, everything could be deemed as just verbal and have no justification in further meetings. Talk about trying to be open and transparent. Something not right here.

I understand your frustration, however the MSF meetings are conducted by fans who are all volunteers and have busy lives also, so getting out minutes etc can be a struggle at times. Sorry probably not what you want to hear
I think his/her point was that the club could/should resource the publishing of minutes. As I say, the PR approach needs to change/improve. The club can't keep doing everything on the back of a fag packet. And if they're not doing it all on the back of a fag packet, they need to demonstrate they're not.

To be fair the club are moving with the times.

Everything is done on a Vape wrapper now.
