Red faction statement.. ticket prices

All the fan groups were talking to the club last week but all the fan groups and indeed the club were shocked by the levels of abuse that spilled out at the end of the week.
Everyone has stepped back now. Nothing is worth that atmosphere and people being hounded out. Boro fans hounding Boro fans. It is totally wrong. 20 years after the Carling Cup win we cannot be tearing into each other.
he started it. ;) ;)

Absolutely, any form of abuse is wrong, and there is no condoning it, but it was a very small minority of idiots was it not?

The vast majority are just fans raising concerns about what is going on? I didn’t agree with the protest, and never believed for one second that it would go ahead, but it did start discussions. Unfortunately, I think many can see that it achieved very little in the end.

Thing is mate, they were told they would be involved last season about these sort of things and they weren't, will the next increase be any different.
It`l be posted on Daily Orders.
Its not the Crabs you know.........all messages delivered like room service on a silver tray by the bell boy

Well done lads for having the balls to stand up in the first place, including other fan groups.
Now that “connection” with the Chairman has been established, it can only be for the good, moving forward.(y)
To all those who sit on the side of the highway complaining Red Faction didn't do enough: I say get off your arzes and get involved!

I think a lot of fans did get of their bums to get involved, or atleast planned to with the protest. Its the only time I've seen a huge majority back an RF campaign.
But that's meant nothing now.

Problem is, the majority of public, especially around these parts are on the brink ( not going down political route ) so any increase in prices, will create disgruntled fans. I’ve had a couple of voddies after some good news today so I’ll stop now before I say stuff that I probably won’t agree with in the morning 😂

Disappointing. I'd already made the decision not to renew long before all this kicked off. Nothing to do with the money. It just doesn't make sense for me as things stand. I've got too many family responsibilities and I've had all of this trouble with with my back this year so I've missed loads of games this season. No point in paying for games that I can't go to.

What's a Carling Cup win got to do with others taking the credit for RF getting Gibbo round a table?

I’d already decided not to renew also (for reasons I posted on the threads a week or two ago) and was just going to pick and choose home games and try to get to a few more away games. Maybe a couple of games in the Legends Lounge too, but I think when it comes to it I’ll refuse to pay the walk up prices out of principal.

Pretty telling after 40 years in charge we hear the words

‘Connection has been established’

Personal abuse is ofcourse wrong.

This fan base will never achieve anything as everyone is too scared to upset the MFC apple cart, everything gets quashed and swept away. This was the biggest chance to make a huge statement against prices, there will be no point in wasting breath next time the prices rise. If we can't debate on serious fan issues then what's the point.

Your last sentence means nothing at all.

Sounds like the club could be gaslighting you(fans groups) reading between the lines

‘Look at the hurt you are causing other fans, is this what you really want’

I'll just be going to the games that I can get to. Problem is that I don't know from one day to the next if my back is going to be all right so I can't really make any plans. It feels fine today but I might wake up tomorrow in agony.

On the contrary, it's the threat of action which lead to the Chairman agreeing to meet various fan groups. Those who can't make the meetings can always donate to the various fan groups if they so wish.

Don't forget to support the Easter Egg Drive for Zoe's Place.

For those who have stopped their ST I wouldn't feel too bad. Around 2 thirds of matches will be on TV next season. If you can do so, just do the games that aren't.
