Realistically how long can he keep his job?

Plenty would have done better than Johnson I would think. They probably wouldn’t have been daft enough to go round shaking hands with Covid patients, they’d definitely have been more visible than Johnson i.e. they wouldn’t disappear at every opportunity and not turn up for cobra meetings for example. So yes I think it’s safe to say literally anyone, even you or me, could have done better than Johnson in this respect

Don't disagree with you about him not being keen on hard work, but he did 8 years as Mayor of London. I'd expect him to want to stay on as PM longer if he can.

Being Mayor of London suited him it was a high profile job with restricted responsibility, I don’t think his driving force is power but publicity and stepping down mid term will certainly not harm his profile, in fact it will potentially raise it and give him greater freedom to do what he wants, allied to his unpopularity with many high up in his party and the mess he left in previous jobs at traditionally Conservative newspapers then it might be his safest option to avoid the Thatcherite fate of remaining popular with the grass root Conservative voters but position is made untenable within the Party.

As you regularly read there are still Die Hards on here like the rest of the country who defend his every action and jump on any criticism of this shower of ****. They won’t have a word said against the axis of evil that is The Cummings and Johnson Show as if he delivers any form of Brexit, however dreadful it is for the country, he is safe as keeping those foreigners out tops everything else.

Yep, can't tell you how many people I know and come across who are very proud of Johnson and his actions and for... cough... 'giving us our country back.'

We've definitely got more borders to be in control of. Looks like Kent can be added to the Irish Sea one. Scotland to follow.

Yep. I try to present my case but, you know, Corbyn being an 'IRA supporting, Hezbollah funding, England hating commie'; I don't get very far!

The amount of times I listen to people say ‘at least we don’t have Corbyn in charge’.
The funny thing is, they often fall into the category of being unable to name a single member of the current cabinet, other than Johnson himself. So not exactly the most politically informed. And yet they know enough to have a strong opinion about Corbyn?🤔🤔hmmm

Exactly.

It's been over 10 years of tories

Every thing is their responsibility.

Mentioning corbyn is pure deflection

The Tories are ahead in the polls.. so realistically alot longer than most of the rest of us will be.
