It's not the rumours that people get annoyed about. It's the pretence that he knows what is going on. People would be fine if he was saying I read this site and it says Boro are interested in whoever. But instead he reads gossip elsewhere, copies and pastes it as his own information sometimes word for word and pretends that he has a contact within the club. And then sometimes he just makes up blatent rubbish which just makes him look silly. It's basically attention seeking and you find people get sick of attention seekers.

And it's not easy to ignore when people are quoting him or he comes into a thread that someone else has made about a transfer and he says this is rubbish, this isn't happening. Why's it ok for him to claim other people are making up stuff? But he seems to think he's untouchable and anyone criticising him is bullying him.

It's going to get to the point soon where he needs to stop or Rob's going to continue to find more and more people are leaving to other Boro boards as people really are sick of it.

BL started this thread. Anyone who wanted to avoid opening it could have. That's all I was trying to say upthread before col decided to be his usual self and have a pop at me for no reason. I know that you weren't replying to me but I really don't get why anybody would leave the board over something as ridiculous as not enjoying somebody else's posts. Particularly on a board that has an ignore button.
 
So Peter Kenyon was working on a deal to bring in a 80K a week player

The club has been cutting back the wage bill for the last 4 years, why on earth would we bring this type of expensive player in now

This is not even a rumour..... Boro_Legend is Tattoo and this is fantasy island

Because people visit for information or entertainment. If the information is just made up rubbish they will look elsewhere to keep up to date with Boro news. And the politics discussions / constant bickering has ruined much of the debating on this board too.

It's also too simplistic to say that you should just not open any thread by a certain person or that you should just ignore a user. Issues aren't just self-contained to a thread. They end up spilling over into others. If I ignored him for example - I'm still exposed to all the other people quoting him or complaining about him so it would still impact my enjoyment of the board if I had to read through all the bickering every thread and I can't force everyone to ignore a user.

I'm mainly a lurker but if my two needs aren't being met why would I continue to visit? I'd just go elsewhere if it got to the point where I don't feel like it's a good use of my free time.

To be fair I think Nobby's support of BL is tongue in cheek, I read his replies as humouring him and find it mildly amusing actually. If it's genuine then you're right, but I don't think it is.

The only person that's left recently is Coluka's 'mate'. Seems like Cols decided to take up the baton and have a go at every thread BL posts.

Coluka you're not the boss of me, or the Legend and don't decide who can post and what.

If we wanna post harmless transfer rumours stuff then either don't open them or use the ignore button. Plenty of other people post transfer stuff yet that seems to be ok ?

I know a witch hunt when I see one.....

I think the problem is there’s a world of difference in passing on a rumour no matter how credible the source and another putting 2 & 2 together and coming out with 45…..then passing it off as a credible rumour.

Any chance we can have a link to an article that this is a rumour

And the definition of rumour is as follows - "a currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth"

So is there any circulating story or report that links us to Falcao?

My comments were nothing to with the poster, just the fact that going for Falcao is unrealistic to me. We'd be better buying four Crooks type players than paying someone the same money for the last year of their career, for which they could be injured a lot of the time and possibly winding down. And have no sell on value.

Wouldn't you take him on £20k/week
