If you don't enjoy F1 then may I suggest you don't watch it anymore. Personally I think today's race will go down as a classic. Although I do wish Alex had done better but will happily take 8th for the Williams.
Anything to favour crashtappen - golden boy who needs to win everything and every time.Rolling start ffs
What’s the point.
Max was 4 seconds quicker on one of the first laps on the inters, yes he got the better strategy call but he was winning regardless of any strategy todayAnything to favour crashtappen - golden boy who needs to win everything and every time.
Entertaining race purely because of the weather but the same old predictable result.
Speaks volumes when Max can under cut Perez by going on the intera first and get first call on tyres when Perez was in the lead
Thats fair enough but my point is usually the lead car gets the call to come in first and at that point Perez was in the lead but as per usual Max got to come in first put the softs on and under cut Perez, anything that favours him he gets itMax was 4 seconds quicker on one of the first laps on the inters, yes he got the better strategy call but he was winning regardless of any strategy today
That’s rubbish this obsession with rolling starts has been around long before max came along.Anything to favour crashtappen - golden boy who needs to win everything and every time.

Whats the reason for not having a standing start then after a red flag when they have done so previously? That’s rubbish this obsession with rolling starts has been around long before max came along.
It was a strange one because they had time to put both on the same lap, but Perez has done nothing at all to deserve any preference on strategy. He’s so far off max every race it’s embarrassingThats fair enough but my point is usually the lead car gets the call to come in first and at that point Perez was in the lead but as per usual Max got to come in first put the softs on and under cut Perez, anything that favours him he gets it
Ye I get excited at the prospect of who is going to finish 2nd…….If you take Max's results out of the equation it is an incredibly exciting championship, 5 different winners, 11 different drivers on the podium etc.
That’s just the race director being overly cautious than favouring one driver. Knew they wouldn’t allow a standing start on a wet track, same happened at Spa. Sadly we won’t ever see any wet races without red flags or long safety carsWhats the reason for not having a standing start then after a red flag when they have done so previously?
Max verstappen having the fastest car by some way has also made overtaking safe for mostI'm not looking it up & so happy to be shown I'm wrong but I don't think Lewis was as dominant as Max is, it always felt as though there was threat from a team mate or a Red Bull or a Ferrari and it took until the last race or so to seal victory in the championship.
Perez is leading the pack of also rans but he's 0.5-1.0 seconds a lap slower than Max and so there is no threat to Max's domination from any direction. Add in that the cars aren't as unreliable as they used to be and as already discussed weather & tyres have been neutralised to extent, no speeding in the pit lane and no refueling, even DRS has made overtaking boring & safe, and with the propensity for more yellows, safety cars & red flags neutralising the race, all the old staples that shook things up and introduced an element of chance and risk of failure into yet another a dominant display by the dominant team & driver(s) have been stripped from F1.
True, he doesn't have to resort to forcing people off the track.Max verstappen having the fastest car by some way has also made overtaking safe for most
so if you delude yourself of the actual winner, racing for 2nd place is very competitive? If you take Max's results out of the equation it is an incredibly exciting championship, 5 different winners, 11 different drivers on the podium etc.

Agreed, I should've started the post with "Obviously if my aunt had balls" etc. but having said that Drive to Survive has shown that the 'race within a race' can be a quite compelling narrative...so if you delude yourself of the actual winner, racing for 2nd place is very competitive?
No, since the sham Vestappen title win & F1 lacking any sporting integrity in upholding it.. plus the new Sprint guff.. it's being candy flossed..
I can do without the pit walks & endless banal interviews both pre & post race.
Not watched one race this season, not even highlights - it's lost sporting integrity, it's entertainment & marketing now.
I think our Ford Focus has a chance of getting within 20 seconds a lap, especially at Zandvort. With Lewis and Nico you had two top class drivers who provided so many memorable moments, it was only the second half of 19 and 20 that Hamilton dominated to this extent, Ferrari matched them the rest of the time with an illegal car.
Difference now is Perez is a poor driver who won’t get within 20 seconds a lap of Max, a RB 1-2 won’t ever be a competitive race
