100%. Tories have spent the last few days buying cheap shares in construction companies or taking bribes for forthcoming contracts. Billions more about to be stolen.
 
F***ing Tory *****, they are a disgrace. Be prepared for some dodgy contracts being handed out to Tory donors.
 
every post misses the main issue here. Our children are attending schools that were identified in 2013 as dangerous and have become more so.

The tories are sitting on the report of dangerous buildings and are refusing to publish it. Labour are, I believe, bringing a motion to force publication. I can see this passing through parliament because, who would vote against it in a public vote? Surely very few.

This has been known about for some time. Our kids may well be attending dangerous buildings next week.
 
Quelle surprise, DFE cancels the building schools for the future program (£55bn), major issues identified 10 years ago, Tories do nowt. Hunt now says they will spend whatever is needed, and later the same day say it will have to come out of existing budgets.

I think its probably because alot of these schools haven't been checked yet. I will be amazed if there aren't many more. Just look at the schools in the area which are post war of 50 years or more

Rishi halved the school building program god forbid something fatal happens. This is going to be the straw that breaks the camels back for the tories i can see a lot more schools failing this raac issue, voters wont forgive more disruption to childrens schooling.

I think it is worse than that Glover. If, god forbid, there is a mortality, the tories as a party will cease to exist. There would be no coming back from that.
 
The Tories cancelling BSF in 2010 is a bit of a red herring as this level of investment couldn't go on. Wasn't sustainable. Vanity projects a lot of the time with billions blown un-necessarily.

The more critical aspect was under austerity they absolutely decimated LAs budgets, and in turn the school maintenance/ revamp programme (trying to improve on Thatchers 18 years of allowing schools to fall into horrendous disrepair). So schools, once again, were left to rot.

Billions were still needed in 2010 just to bring schools to 20th C standards, now ......😬😬😬.

Ticking timebomb, always was. And for this to be raised less than a week before term starts, utter, utter incompetence. And contempt, as always, for the working classes.

Won’t make any difference, they’ll do what they always do and blame someone else.

Children died from covid due to government inaction, they just carry on as normal.
