It’s what inept execs and senior managers do.The thing that irks me most about his defence of just having exacting standards is that he's completely useless in every sense of the word. Clearly didn't apply his exacting standards to himself.
They deflect from their own incompetencies as rigorously as they can. They show their communication failures by failing to have even basic emotional intelligence.
The best leaders are people that recognise their role is to empower and support, giving direction and helping to remove obstacles and owning risk.what Raab appears to do, and I’ve seen this behaviour in others, is lob a grenade over the wall to their staff, then run away, then scream at them a week later because they’ve had their legs blown off.
He is a boss, not a leader, and not a particularly successful boss at that
