Quite A Few Turkish Barbers Lad !!!

Barber i use is Kurdish. £10 for a normal haircut £15 the whole lot absolutely brilliant.

Also use a Kurdish restaurant where you pay £8-10 for fantastic food.

Thing is if these lads didn’t set up their own businesses the Gammons would start crying about them sitting around on benefits.

There are some who aren’t totally legit though and the local police have rightly cracked down on them, named and shamed.

What sort of Turkish barbers do you go to?

I remember as a child going to "Cocky's" in south bank - whether that was it's name or the fact it has a foul mouthed Cockatiel in residence I cannot remember. Later a trim in North Ormesby then "Foffa's" in the Boro for many years. After that I went to a hairdressers in Eston, then Normanby and finally Ingleby Barwick for a while before going No1 with clippers - and there I stayed.

So how much is a 'good' haircut now?
I just do my own with a clipper.
By the way anyone remember Ron Chilvers in North Ormesby - went there as a kid.
Was that half way down Jubilee St? Literally the front room of his house.

Was there another called Bindoff - Orloff Bindoff my father called him.

Ron Chilver was on Redcar High street till he retired.
Yes but as dibble said he was in North Ormesby before he went to prison. Mick Forbes started there I think before opening Mike Forbes In Town and is still cutting hair at Agent Barbering Saloon which is owned by his son. Top guy Foffa except for being a Man U fan :ROFLMAO:

Visited Coventry a few months back and went to Fargo Village for some Caribbean Food on the Saturday evening. Commented to wife about the number of high end cars driving slowly up and down the main street and the number of Barber shops still open at 10 o clock at night.

There’s a new Turkish barbers (actual name) in Marton. Very good, Open on Sundays and offers you a drink while you wait, beer, water….. I think he said he’s from Iraq. Nice fella and makes you feel really welcome. We’ve just had a £3 off leaflet through the door

People have less money to spend inflation/mortgage/food yet turkish /kurdish barbers are popping up everywhere charging more for haircuts/shaves etc than a normal barber.
Doesn't feel right !
