Yeah, we might get through Poland but then we'd get Brazil in the semi.

This way round, beat France and we get Portugal/Croatia, two sides who've beaten us in big WC fixtures before but whom I think we shouldn't fear this time round.

Remember, someone has to knock France out - teams don't retain the World Cup (without Garrincha ). Might as well be us.

You are assuming Poland will get at least a draw with Argentina. I can’t see it myself. If Argentina beat Poland then you can forget them in the QFs.
