Qatar Fans Accommodation - BBC

I've just been on the BBC Sport website, looking for fixtures and schedules etc, and opened this article regarding fans village accommodation out of sheer curiosity. I was expecting there to be lots of 5 star places for the fans, but this is taking the mickey, in a big way. A thick plastic sheet tent with a fan for air conditioning, in 40+C daytime temperatures, I'm glad I couldn't afford to go.

The "tented" accomodation shown on the news was dire - at £180 per night it's an absolute joke.

I can't imagine what it will be like on the 2 cruise shps docked off Doha

I saw the Modular cabins theyd brought in on a documentary a few weeks ago and thought they looked rough and wouldnt of fancied them, but hadnt seen they had tents as well, wouldnt stay in one of them for free let alone that price :ROFLMAO:

What the hell is wrong with the word portacabin
i dont know :ROFLMAO:
In life, sometimes you remember completely random, unimportant things.

In this case, I remember that Rob stated on the old board that the trademark (copyright?) owners of that word/ company where very hot on trawling the Internet for uses of the word. Especially if it was used in a negative context. I thought at first that Rob was yanking our chains, but he seemed to be 100% serious.......

Anyway, do any of you mind if I post the Boro's entire fixture list? :D
(That's a joke by the way)

Stayed in far worse places at the f1 and paid significantly more as well

It’s just a standard thing for big events where places don’t have the facilities. Really don’t think anyone will care where they stay, no one will be going for a luxury holiday
