I am always frightened someone does the same to me. I have a lot of money invested in tools and it is the least secure area of the property.

Edit: I found a pair of large bolt croppers stashed at the side of the substation near our house. It was obvious what they had been placed for and someone would have woken up to the locks on their sheds broken. I took them home - not sure what I use them for.

i wouldnt broadcast it Norman - but as you have assessed the pool of tools, you know what to do about it - those whet stones are swimming up in value.

I honestly feel your pain mate - It is ok having insurance but it is when you go for that tool and it's not there and you realise that they took it. You just can't go out and replace everything.

Don'r even have to be deprived mate, I live in a middle class area down south and a month ago someone hacked of my catalytic convertor under the car.

It's rife. Only recently was working at a small substation in Normanby. One of the lads left his bolt cutters there, when he went back some b***r had nicked them.
