Proof man landed on the moon

Did men really land on the moon or is it a conspiracy?

The overwhelming consensus among scientists, engineers, and experts is that the Apollo moon landings were real, and there is no credible evidence to support the idea that they were a hoax. The United States' Apollo program sent a total of six manned missions to the Moon between 1969 and 1972, and the evidence supporting their authenticity is extensive and robust. Here are a few key points:

  1. Photographic and Video Evidence: Thousands of photographs and hours of video footage were captured during the Apollo missions, showing astronauts on the lunar surface, the lunar module, the American flag planted on the Moon, and various experiments conducted there. These images and videos have been thoroughly analyzed and authenticated by experts in photography and imaging.
  2. Rock Samples: Astronauts brought back lunar rock samples, which have been studied by scientists from around the world. These rocks have unique characteristics not found on Earth and provide strong evidence of a lunar landing.
  3. Reflectors Left on the Moon: Apollo 11 and Apollo 14 missions left retroreflectors on the Moon's surface, which are still in use today. These devices reflect laser beams sent from Earth and are used to measure the exact distance from Earth to the Moon.
  4. Independent Verification: The Apollo missions were tracked by multiple tracking stations worldwide, including those operated by other countries. The data from these stations independently confirm the missions' trajectories and lunar landings.
  5. Testimonies of Thousands: Thousands of engineers, scientists, and technicians worked on the Apollo program, and it would have been virtually impossible to keep a conspiracy of this magnitude secret for decades. Many of these individuals have publicly affirmed the authenticity of the missions.
  6. Lack of Credible Evidence for a Hoax: Claims of a moon landing hoax often rely on misinformation, misinterpretation of data, or selective use of evidence. Multiple investigations and debunking efforts have consistently shown that these claims lack credible supporting evidence.
While there are conspiracy theories that suggest the moon landings were staged, these claims have been widely debunked and discredited. The moon landings represent one of the greatest achievements in human history, and the evidence supporting their authenticity is extensive and conclusive.

Apart from the physical evidence that people have mentioned, it would be an absolutely massive conspiracy though Newy. There were thousands involved in the Space program, astronauts, technicians, physicians, press officers. If it really was just a huge cover up surely one of them would have broken cover by now and fessed all the gory details?
Everything set up to work.. everyone pressing their dials and whizzers.. but no biscuit.

With all the money and time invested by so many competing nations, building Skylab, The ISS, Voyager, Pioneer, developing the Space Shuttle, landing probes on Venus and Rovers on Mars, Hubble, asteroid landings, it’s surprising that there’s been zero interest in the moon since Apollo was mothballed.

Its almost like, there’s no point because, someone has already been!

It is horrendously expensive to land a maanned craft on the moon. Getting there and dropping an unmanned craft is much cheaper. To compare, it cost nasa 1 billion dollars to get the MER on mars and they estimate 30 billion dollars to get a man back on the moon. The difference in cost is huge. Didn't India spend 700 million USD getting their unmanned craft on the moon.

The additional cost is from getting the craft down safely, rather than just drop it from low orbit and getting it to take off again.

When you look at the poverty in India I find it strange they are spending billions on space missions. I understand nations have to progress but surely that money could be spent on its people.

I see that. My post was triggered by fake landing conspiracy theorist. They make no logical sense, but I’ll get back in my box.

Not sure about this. All else being equal, science pays for itself in society. Nasa estimated a 10 to 1 profit for the US economy with the appollo missions.

I, of course, understand that poverty is particularly bad in India having worked there multiple times, so I am not sure how this investment feeds and houses the poorest.

I agree that science does tend to fund itself and I am sure that India's latest mission to carry scientific instruments to observe the sun’s outermost layers can only benefit mankind but as you state, poverty in India is huge and we both understand the cost of these missions are a drop in the ocean to cover what is needed to address the poverty issue but it would be a start. In 2021/22, India allocated $1.8 billion dollars to its Space Research Organisation.

Only those at the very top would need to be in on it.
Those at mission control would have been none the wiser.

I can't even be bothered to give conspiracy theorists the time of the day, just a bunch of total ***** imho

Why any government would bother with it defeats me , and the number of people who would have to be involved including the entire scientific community defies belief

That's completely untrue. Just physically at the launch site there would have been hundreds of witnesses, including independent journalists, and a whole television crew. Were they all in on the conspiracy?
