Seem to remember an unusually large turnout from Blackburn who were also doing well.Yes, 12,000 just before Christmas was a good crowd in those days. Helped by the fact that we were doing well. I think it was that Boxing Day we played Blackburn and had 23000, which was our biggest crowd for five years and seemed remarkable at the time.
