Promotion last season....the foundations

It was a missed opportunity but the foundations for Premier League football weren't in place.

Giles will be as weak at defending when he comes back down as he was with us.

Picking a left back based solely on his ability in attack is like picking a keeper based solely on his distribution......oh hang on

Doesn’t matter. Promotion means money in the bank and the option to buy Giles or go better. Promotion gives you options.

100% missed opportunity for me. There is never a bad time to go up as it dramatically alters the finances of the club in the short term. Even if you get beaten 8-0 every week (cough cough) you'll still come down with better finances than around 70% of the champo and primed for another tilt at promotion.

That scenario would suit me fine.
