On twitter and Facebook people sell tickets using the points they have to none season ticket holders for a profit. Nerds to be better validation that the people with the points actually attend match with the ticketWould you care to explain how season ticket holders sell their points to others?
Barnsley is not until the 26th Feb. We have QPR and Bristol C away before then. I started panicking that the tickets were due on sale. Get a grip and stop bedwetting.
Yes because QPR and Bristol C are in Yorkshire arent they and less than a 90 min car journey away?
That's exploitation of the system and exactly why it isn't fit for purpose.I also believe that if the person who has the adequate priority points to buy a ticket, doesn't want to go then they are well within their rights to pass to a family member or friend - providing they aren't doing it for financial gain.
Your ticket your choice,up to you if you by a ticket for a friend or family member along as people not making profit, which at £46 a ticket don't think anyone would pay much more than that anyway. There will be some people transferring their ticket to others, but I would be surprised if its the majority of season ticket holders. More likely elderly season ticket holders say over 75s not fancying a late night trip to Salford or very young season ticket holders say under 9s. Touting (selling on at profit) will be rare because tickets are traceable, so a ticket sold can be checked to see who originally bought it.
I think there could be some tweaking of the system for example its not possible for say someone under 25 to be Gold Card holder. Maybe more points could be given for purchasing away tickets in the last 3 seasons.
It appears over 15k wanted to go to the MU game and we had only around 8,800 tickets for the core body of Boro fans (club sponsors and employees take tickets).
I wonder how many family or friends who’ve had tickets bought for them are going just to see Ronaldo, I hope he doesn’t play.Your ticket your choice,up to you if you by a ticket for a friend or family member along as people not making profit, which at £46 a ticket don't think anyone would pay much more than that anyway.
What, you mean so a season ticket holder with 70 points with the opportunity to give their card away.I'd give priority to all season card holders. At least that way everyone that's put money in the clubs coffers gets an opportunity to buy an in demand ticket. Under this system, we have season card holders with high priority points giving away their card to allow non-season ticket holders the chance to purchase tickets. This has prevented other season card holders (season card holders with 70 points in this instance) the opportunity to buy tickets.

It will probably be done away with by the 4th I assume, but don't they check the name on your vaccine pass against your ticket currently?Selling the tickets is different to selling the points which isn't possible.
Sadly it's impossible to validate that the person buying the ticket is actually the one using it. This has always happened, always will.

The priority points system is perfect. I'd even say it's too lenient and the first sale should be upped to 170-180.
I've had a continuous season ticket (150 points), plus I've been to two cup games in the past two years (3 points each) - 156.
The first sale needed 160, which was disappointing for me because I didn't get in the block I wanted, but I don't go to many away games... so I shouldn't have priority over fans who do...
If the points system was scrapped, you'd have part time fans who don't even go to home games, getting tickets to Man Utd for a day out and a **** up, and season ticket holders who travel thousands of miles to follow the Boro every season missing out, because they didn't get to their computers in time...
