Prince Andrew to be sued

It won’t be. All he has to do is stay out of New York and they won’t be able to serve papers on him apparently

The Daily Mirror offered an interesting scenario. What would happen if Mrs Giuffe (sp) asked the Met Police to investigate sex abuse that she said happened in London.
Or why not swap Andrew for Mrs Sacooma- after all-the FBI want Andrew and the British police want Mrs sacooma

Does anyone seriously think that The queens favourite son will ever remotely face justice.

surely the American law team aren’t that naive.

A spokeswoman for Prince Andrew, 61, said there was "no comment" on the case, which was filed under New York's Child Victims Act.

There is your justice

He'll be safe whilst the queen's alive, Charles will probably hand him over - always were mums favourite, you can sod off now

I'd be so happy if the Sacoona swap happened, but don't think it will

17? I thought we were talking aboot 16 and under!!! - bit dirty olde mannish and pervy for an older man who should really know better and put out to grass- no excuse there- but is this really child abuse per se? Bit reap what you sow with Cuomo being involved - another dirty olde man " allegedly".
Andrews interview - such as it was - looked to me to be utter b***ks.

That being said -It's kind of all over the shop this stuff - I mean now we have things "protecting" 16 to 25" year olds 25?!

It's a minefield ( well for those as yet to sow their iffy oats).
I find the whole thing quite icky - the penchant for lesser aged partners ( within reason) - and include in that the weird fashion for shaving the bush to look like pre teenies - WTAF.
Can't people just stick with the normal everyday turn on stuff - leather stiletto boots - hand cuffs - whips - dairy cream - car exhausts ?

Yes the age of consent exists for a reason and the reason is that children's brains haven't fully matured. Ideally it'd be higher given that modern science says the human brain doesn't finish growing and maturing till the early 20's. However the law says that until your 16 in the UK or 18 in the states you can't meaningfully consent to sex. So yes that means Andy raped an underage girl. And that's before we get into the issues like the enormous power differential between a member of the royal family and a 17 year old girl who'd fled a broken home and a lifetime of sexual abuse. not to mention the creepiness that comes from seeing a 40 year old man requesting sexual favours from a 17 year old.

Sickening as it is I think this is the only way for monarchy to maintain its dignity.
Although the Queen does not deserve this worry at all.
Remember he has clearly stated the accusation is false.
innocent until proven guilty. We should give any Falklands veteran that right.
But arranged sexual services from under 18's is a crime no matter who you are.
Surely the police MUST investigate and go to court if there is sufficient evidence.
Give him a chance to defend himself properly with a qualified legal team.
If he did it lock him up and applaud those who spoke out.
If he didn't do it acknowledge the fact and move on.
