Price of fuel

One of the reasons they have given for inflation starting to fall was lower petrol prices. The 2 tesco garages near us have raised their prices 5 times in 2 weeks. What's going on.?

Saudis and Russia confirmed they are cutting oil production a month ago, it’s filtering through to prices at the pumps now. It’s going to get significantly worse again touching £2 a litre in a few weeks.

Greed.

At the station at E.Leclerc it was 1.95€ which works out around £1.67 a litre. Diesel is 1.40€.

The world is splitting apart geo- politically.
It's going to get a lot worse here and in Europe. At least we have top leaders guiding us through these difficult times.. oh...

I’ve just had a few days down in Cornwall with plenty of driving, in my electric car…

in total I think I’ve spent £130 in charging, mainly the cheaper Tesla points but also used the gridserve at lands end…

i reckon the same in a petrol car would have been about £200…

good job you weren't charging at a motorway service station, it seem like 73p per Kwh is the going rate. Similar I guess to the fact that petrol is also more expensive at a service station.

Source London seems to be dropping its prices. And Tesla too all over Europe but not so much in Brexitopia. I think I’m paying about 33p per kWh which is reasonable

Back to the main topic and not this EV v ICE shenanigans. 😜

Before we came away there was an article about supermarkets keeping their prices high and not passing on the cheaper prices to customers.

"errr excuse me Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salam"

"yes, what is it"

"we have lost £5.5B on LIV golf, buying footballers from Europe and hair gel and teeth whitener for Jason Tindall"

"say no more my child, stop oil production for 2 weeks and tell Puty Pants Russian guy to do same, problem solved"
"now, what is this Ruggerby Union thing...."

Charging my EV seems to be more expensive than charging my ICE at the moment. I predominately charge at home which is much cheaper but out and about I have been paying 69p per KwH. As a total my charging is cheaper than petrol but when I'm away from home it doesn't seem to be.

The main topic was price of fuel no?

Just adding my two penneth in. Prices do seem to be dropping 😀
Hey you, get your head down and sort that wedding out. Are you using EV cars to transport the happy couple and bridesmaids?

Serious question- I’ve noticed a few cars plugged into adapters next to their caravans and tents, how does that work and who is paying for the electric? Said caravans and tents have 10 amp electric hook up.

Does the price per KWh when charging away from home include a fuel duty? Just wondered how the government would claw all of that revenue back. Seems that increasing the cost of petrol / diesel may be a solution if there is no such element in charging an electric vehicle
