Preston’s home form

I’m not getting carried away. It’s a tough game today and Boro need to earn the points. It’s not too dissimilar to Portsmouth and Plymouth. We know what happened there.

Haven’t lost at home in the last seven matches and only twice all season in the league. This is no pushover.
doesnt matter. Your point wont make it through to the vast majority on here who just look at overall table. Was similar matters vs Portsmouth and to some extent Plymouth, however the boarrd see's teams in bottom 8 and the board thought is these are easy games coz they must be shxt right. Whilst they never pick up on the fact the overall team position is poor because they have picked up 1 draw away from home in last 8 . Good luck trying

What does this tell us, then?
Nothing really.
West Brom, have won three games in the last 12!!!
So?

Anyway on that matter, have another sneaky little gut feeling that today will be a hard fought win for us. I was right in West brom game, under pressure carrick seems to pull it out the bag.

It's the same team whether they are playing home or away. Teams at the bottom of the league are worse than teams at the top of the league. Not beating teams at the bottom of the table isn't good no matter what their home/away form is.

Today is different. Preston are a mid table team. They aren't bad, just inconsistent.

Our recent record at Preston has been poor, but I don't go a lot on history in football.

I do think Preston get a bit underestimated, but last season we murdered them at Deepdale and somehow lost 2--1.

We've drawn at Plymouth and lost at Pompey. Why would anyone believe in pushovers?

Like many Boro fans, my gut instinct is we do better against better sides. It's not true: in the last 10 years, we've picked up most points against the teams who go on to be relegated.

However, we do better than expected against the better teams

I have a feeling we’ll smash them today. I think the West Brom game will prove to be the turning point of our season. The transfer activity, confirmation of Doak remaining, return of Morris and associated freedom that gives Hackney all bodes very well. I fancy us to get right into it today and the return of the recent feel good factor to jump up a notch!
