Cracking game. Ben Earl was the difference. A magnificent display. Sarries have been determined to get back to trophy winning ways and it showed today. Will be cheering them on in the final. Saints just gone ahead against Leicester. That’s a really close one.Well. I've lost my voice!
Absolutely gutted this afternoon but fair play to Sarries. They patiently dismantled Quins today. Very solid and extremely impressive. I can't remember ever seeing a starting line up of 15 internationals playing against us
Still want them to lose the final though!
Brilliant day of rugby so far. I actually like Saracens despite some of the stigma that follows them now.Cracking game. Ben Earl was the difference. A magnificent display. It's not a just quins thing but I genuinely hate them. They are getting round their "salary cap" cheating this year with dodgy player sponsorships.Brilliant day of rugby so far. I actually like Saracens despite some of the stigma that follows them now.
I'll be there! Got my tickets a while back. I shall be cheering on Leicester (they've been top every single week this season). But agree it'll be a cracker. Not as exciting and wild as Saints v Quins would have been but certainly two top drawer teamsThe final next Saturday against Leicester will be some game.
I think it's more that they still appear to be doing it.Sarries are my local team and will be at atwickenham on Saturday to support them. I don’t condone what they did but it’s still a great club and friendly set up.
It wasn't sponsored by the Saudis was it?Game looked juicy. I noted Sarries played with 13 and 14 men for a lot of the second half with sin bins. Would have gone yesterday but was invited on a freebie and turned up at the disgusting golf exhibition at St Albans - and feel a bit dirty for doing so
Sarries are good at that. Went to the Leicester game a few months ago and whilst the Tigers had the lions share of possession Sarries took their chances and beat them.It wasn't sponsored by the Saudis was it?
Yeah it was a spicy affair. The ref actually let quite a few things go too. He wanted to let them play.. typical local Derby I guess. Quins should have buried Sarries in the first half but didn't take their chances. And against Sarries, at the Stonex you HAVE to take your chances. Sarries a lot more ruthless and efficient with their chances
Yeah, that last try was a kick in the teeth, 27-17 Would have been a fairer reflection of the play. I think strength in depth showed as well. I noticed both teams doubled or tripled up in stopping the big hitting runners on each side (Esterhuizen for us, B. Vunipola for them) but they had more players capable of getting the hard yards than we did. Plus the fact they could pull players like Isiekwe and Lozowski off the bench (admittedly the latter hindered them more than helped, coming on and immediately being sin binned)Enjoy Cardiff, Zoo, ST next week. Should be a belter. Enjoyed the highlights of the Sarries Quinns game. Much closer than the result suggested. You have to admire the defence of Saracens when down to 13 and 14 men. Crucially Saracens scored 14 pts when Quins went down to 14 and that was the decisive factor.
Also off Twickenham.Off to Twickenham for the Final this afternoon.
Come on Sarries!!
