Premiership or Championship

I don't really care. Football to me is part of my social fabric. I have watched one game on TV, it was no different to Subuteo.

Football to me is, having a few beers and talking general rubbish, the walk to the game, watch it amongst like minded people and then go home.

I have zero interest in any team apart from the Boro I often go and watch Guisborough, I get the same football feel there.

So I hope for the play off final, and that we win it.

When I hear in here that cup games should be lost to assist being in the top 6, I think, nah let's go to Peterborough away it's a good day out.

I have now done this since I was 8, ok now the pub and away days. That was 16.

Whatever league we're in. Been bored stiff with the few Premier League games I've seen since Christmas.
I agree, you realise how dull the passing game is. Saying that as I don't care about the result I don't think I have watched a full game for a long time.

Whereas I've been bored stiff with all the Championship matches, including ours.

This is a **** league with far too many players paid for acting like their premier league rivals, but with a fraction of the ability and quality.
I really think it hasn't changed what has changed is the viewing.

What you have only ever watched one game of football on tv ??? Really
In the last year from start to finish , yes. It was a Boro game a few weeks ago, we won.

I used to go to Madrid games and always preferred Atletico, it was like the Boro in atmosphere. Real was too much like ManU for me, the good news was I never paid more than £17 to get in .

I have not watched MOTD, I never used to miss it.

The biggest lesson of lock down for me is live over television. It's a vastly inferior experience on a small screen.

Boro first and foremost, the league is a secondary matter.

So you have zero interest in any team apart from Boro.
Or Guisborough.
Or Real Madrid.
Or Athletico Madrid.

What have the Romans ever done for us?

I said it's of secondary interest, not no interest.

For what it's worth, I'm more interested in local leagues than la Liga; my interest in watching big European Leagues, Champion's League etc. is pretty much zero.

"What have the Romans ever done for us?"

Attack us with razorblades from the back of scooters?

Championship.

Though I would snap your hands off without hesitation for the Premier League, despite knowing I'd enjoy it far less.

the championship is so very tight. to be honest I'd rather be fighting for survival in the top tier than in the 2nd division.
i'll support boro in what ever league, but you gotta compete, you gotta approach every game with the intention of winning.. other wise what are we playing at?!?!

going to an expensive members only pub, with expensive pints served in plastic cups (which you have to drink in the concrete enclosure) shan pies, dire crackly dated music.. to shout at a field where 11 duffers, doyles and dippers wear your £50 t-shirt and embarrass you infront of friends, family and work colleagues alike.

Fair enough. Though you definitely said you had zero interest in any team apart from Boro.

When you put it like that I do wonder why we bother😀
Like a bad habit that's hard to break.

For many years I used to think being in the top league was the be all and end all.

I don’t now because I think the performance of any club these days is predominantly about how rich the owner is, it’s no longer about building a club and a team up.

A lot of clubs in the prem are just cannon fodder in a never ending survival battle, look at Burnley today at Spurs, 2 down and game over after 15 minutes.

The league and whichever one the Boro are in has lost its meaning for me.
