Premier League legal battle

Wonder who this is, Chelsea or Man City perhaps?

The Premier League may face a new legal challenge from one of its own clubs after approving new rules that would limit the ability of teams to buy players or strike sponsorship deals with parties related to their ownership

Or Newcastle.

Many of City's 150 PSR breaches are related to sponsorship deals and other payments, such as out of season tournaments I think.

Still think it's City - winning this would significantly weaken the PSR breaches, so they have more than the obvious to gain from it.

Citehs issue is with actions before any rule change so won’t make a difference
Their issue is over payments not believed to represent value (eg large payments for adverts that would never likely bring the ROI)
If it’s cash going in rather than debt leveraged I don’t see the problem. They should ensure no risk to bankruptcy rather than limiting spend

Proving that the rule they have breached were unlawful in the first place is hugely significant, I don't agree with your view on that at all. It would effectively render the breaches as irrelevant.

City are throwing huge amounts of money at lawyers in order to escape, or at least significantly mitigate, any PSR sanctions.
