Seems to be lots of work getting done now. Ormesby Bank, A66, Ayresome Park Road and Ayresome Street are all being repaired.

It's appalling. Main roads are dreadful. I slalomed my way around the pot holes on the A66 near Newport into Boro the other day but most other major roads are little better. How motorcyclists bikes are not going over their handlebars every day is a miracle. It's at the point now that the pot holes have merged across entire lanes. Never known them this bad and so widespread. Cars are going to be wrecked before their time.

Don't any of Houtchen's mates own asphalt companies? Surely we could give him a few million of hard-earned to work his magic?

I think Companies who use HGV's should be paying more for the upkeep of roads through Taxation.

The York ring road is also a mare, especially on the roundabouts. More holes than Swiss cheese.

I live in Northumberland, but I'm from the Boro and go back often. I've also recently had some time in the Lakes - have to agree with everything said above. My car had to go into the garage to get front suspension fixed after hitting an absolute crater near Cramlington hospital. Nearly broke me bloody arm through the steering wheel!
