I still don't think the UK is fundamentally corrupt, but a few things over the last few weeks are chipping at the edges.
 
You would think someone would have said something is not right here when hundreds of these cases suddenly started appearing.

Obviously that depends.

If they'd suspected that a number of postmasters were committing fraud & brought in a new software system to prevent it & are now discovering instances of fraud even much more than they thought was occuring in the first place, confirmation bias would mean they thought the software worked & loads of postmasters were on the take.
