Poor Liz Truss was thwarted by the 'Deep State'

It was a car crash ending. First she disappeared for about 10 mins when they were ready to read out the results, while all the other candidates were on the stage. Then the people waiting started slow hand clapping, because they were fed up waiting for her to reappear (having been there all night). Then she refused to give a losers speech, and the TV interview with the BBC was just about the most cringe worthy display as you will ever see from a politician. Some take defeat on the chin and leave with a bit of a show of humility, but not Liz. It all the immigrants fault apparently.

Honestly, if you have not seen it, it's toe curling.

This was a 24k majority Tory safe seat, lets not forget.

Misery she caused people - and it's everyone else's fault but hers
Hiding and delaying the results reading - not seen that. Just ridiculous

In a party full of self serving shameless snakes she stands out as being particularly unaware of her utter lack of any kind of decorum.

That she chooses to not take individual responsibility for a 20k+ majority overturn shows perfectly why they are where they are right now.

There's a Party wide lack of talent in their ranks, no remotely obvious successor to Sunak and unless Labour really fk things up I can see a long period of them on the back benches.

At last the British have woken up.

Don’t feel too sorry for her. She’s entitled to claim over £100k a year for the rest of her life because of the 44 days she spent as Prime Minister. That’s a hell of a pension.
 
Dyouknow I've been doing this Liz truss impression for the last few years where I glance around gormlessly and then walk into a wall. I did it the other night while looking in a mirror and realised that I don't look anything like Liz truss at all.
 
"Deep State" it does sound quite exciting, I wonder if there is an office door in Whitehall or the MFI secret agents building on the river Thames with it on.

I would imagine there are no windows in this office, or lights, so you have to use one of those very small torch pens and wear a Michael Fabricant wig.
