Of course, it is VAR's fault. The pantomime of making the referee go to look at his decision on the TV beside the pitch puts tremendous pressure on the referee, it suggests he MAY have made a mistake and he MIGHT want to look at that again. It takes a very strong ref to resist that and very very few do.

And we thought they were **** at VAR in England. Has there been an edict to give ridiculous penalties at this world cup to distract people from the FIFA bull**** and Qatar backwardness.

Seems to me like VAR is being used as a back up to make sure that the protected players and teams are given a safe passage through, corrupt as hell.
