Pm admits meeting lebedev in Italy

Is that the Lebedev who was George Osborn's boss and more recently Cameron's sister-in-law's boss. They all hate Boris, so what to make of the allegation?
 
To be fair, on this issue I have sympathy with the PM not being able to recollect the meeting.

I too often struggle to remember who I meet and talk to when im 4 sheets to the wind on free booze.
 
The Italian trip was to attend a party thrown by Lebedev, this alone is scandal enough but the one the question that Johnson really wants to avoid is about who else was there, what was his relationship with one of the other attendees and what was their familial connection with high ranking officials within Putin's government, in fact he was so keen to avoid it that he took out an injunction that means you can't name or identify this person beyond it being a person who Johnson was in a physical relationship with who he met through Lebedev and met several other times thereafter.

Johnson's relationship with this person and friendship with Lebedev and others led to a senior Foreign Office official expressing his concern of potential security compromises to Teresa May, this led to certain security sensitive information bypassing Johnson in his time as Foreign Secretary, another interesting aside is where Johnson was when the invasion of Ukraine took place, given the warnings of what was happening Johnson took the decision to attend a Conservative Party fundraising event attended by several subsequently sanctioned Russian's who had donated to Johnson personally for his leadership and Mayoral campaigns as well as general donations to the Conservative Party, I wonder if Zelensky is aware of these relationships when he praises Johnson as Ukraine's number 1 friend ?

Is that because Russia are playing your Government like a fiddle? Or is that a genuine tip?
