Plans for Middlesbrough underground network leaked

Can't say how I got hold of this, and the picture's pretty sketchy, but there's current plans for an ambitious underground network to revolutionize public transport on Teesside to be launched by 2035.

Obviously it's not geographically accurate, but more like the London Underground map which shows the stations is a nice graphical representation.

Anyone know any more details about this ?Plan 2020.JPG

We simply don’t have the population to support anything like this. Looks like someone got bored

Even if this was somebody ambition, and a nice thought too, given the amount of spending we will need to get through this year it wouldn’t see the light of day in any of our lifetimes. One day in 2120.

Even if it were genuine, we'd probably only get the Central Line built before they gave up. Which would be around 200m in total. With 4 stations.

100% chance this is a work of fiction. Given how much cash is being blown on HS2 there is absolutely zero chance any government or private investment is going into a scheme like this.

More chance of free Tesla's being handed out.
