Pie advice

Good Evening.
I've just returned to the area after many years away. Looking for the best pies in town, and would love any tips.
I know that a few years ago Newbould's closed a few years back, so am left with no idea where to try.
Thanks and UTB!

Robinson's in North Ormeby was always my favourite butcher for pies. I have a feeling he's retired and sold it on now, so couldn't speak to the current quality.

There is no 'best pie' . you have to try as many as you want and get an idea about what is best 'for you' . You can take advice about who sells 'good' pies but the rest is up to you. Imagine a scenario where the 'real' best pie was like a 15mile round trip for you in your car . Would you do it , regularly, or would you settle for one of the 'good' pies that was done within 2 miles from your house. It's up to you fella. There are no 'best' pies categorically speaking. just find what's good for you , like nearby ! I'm happy to cook a 'best' pie for you if you like and send it over by deliveroo but its proper stuff so might cost you a bit.

I will be in Petch's tomorrow morning grabbing a few pies to watch the rugby with.

My dear old mum was in a few Saturdays ago and was like “ I couldn’t believe how busy it was for Saturday at 11am. It was full of men on their own buying small pies.”

I was like errr yeah there’s a Boro match! Where do you think me and dad are going this afternoon, and have been going for the last 25 years
