Pick your Boro 11 made of full internationals but…

…only one player per nationaility. No under 21s or B teams, only full internationals.

Here’s mine:

Given

Ziege

Woodgate

Pogatetz

Geremi

Souness

Mendieta

Boateng

Juninho

Boksic

Viduka

Woodgate over Southgate is ridiculous by the way.

Woodgate played one full season for Boro. Perhaps two. Southgate was a leader and the captain when Boro won the League Cup. There is no comparison.
This is about the best players for each position. Woodgate was a better centre half than Southgate.

Surely Paul Ince or Gascoigne have to be in there or are we just going off their form in a boro shirt?

Stick French Franck at left back and that is a great side.
Yeah left back was the problem. No caps for Franck unfortunately.

Could find another centre back (Lenihen or Pogatetz possibly) and stick Ziege there, but Ziege wasn't great in a 4.

Or put Pogatetz there but he got a nosebleed past the halfway line.

So Kinder gets the nod for cult hero reasons (and because Huth is better than any alternative I can think of for CB) , even though he's a level below the rest.
