Physical presence up front

Wilder is contradicting himself. Saying Forss is one for the future and need training, yet we’ve signed Muniz who is two years younger and played a lot less football in this league and country.
 
Probably going to end up being one of Forss, Muniz and Watmore alongside one of Hoppe, Akpom and Larsen (if we go back in for him) eh?
 
Presence isn’t solely linked to size. Centre of gravity and intensity are just as important. Our powder puff strikers of the last few years have been woefully lacking in all areas.

Height isn't the be all and end all of whether a striker offers a physical presence or can hold the ball up.

Unless we're playing route one stuff it's more important that he has the body strength (and sometimes just attitude/aggression) to hold off defenders.

Time will tell. YouTube, for what it's worth, suggests he has no problem with the physical side of the game. Looks like he can put a header away too.

Development is different to age and experience though isn’t it. I get that it sounds a bit weird considering Muniz has barely played 50 games in his career, but Jude Bellingham was good enough to play centre mid for one of the best teams in the Bundesliga at 16, sometimes they’re just finished products much earlier.

None of us have seen Muniz play yet but I’m expecting him not to be that raw, the other two signings are.
 
You don’t necessarily have to be tall to have a physical presence, or win headers. Some of the best headers I’ve ever seen weren’t tall at all. Archie Stephens only about five feet nine or ten was brilliant in the air, David Speedie five feet eight also amazing in the air and scored a hat trick of headers against us once. Muniz looks strong and well built, i think he’s got something about him - seems like a bit of a character too

5'9 is hardly towering so not sure what point your trying to make

Drifting from wing to wing - so what, he scored 23 goals last season

the idea we can only score goals with some towering lump up front is straight from the Warnock Dinosaur school of football!

He is, but he isnt 🤔

He's saying Forss (& Hoppe), are not his signings......he intends to play 'his' signings, so he's using excuses that you're not supposed to notice 😉
