I don't overly mind a 'refresh' every now and again. They probably do need a bit more youth in and around the place.

Although you could argue sacking older blokes for younger is its own form of discrimination? If they don't find faults with working standards then what's the grounds?

My argument is that if you have a pop at Alex Scott then your branded racist or sexist. I just don't want her anywhere near the panel because I don't think she's a good pundit. It's my opinion not based on her skin or sex. I would say the same about Owen or Souness (both men and white).

I noticed Georgie Bingham has been sacked after 10yrs on talkshite. She seemed genuinely shocked and only told its for 'rebranding'. Who's taking over from her? Are they BAME? You've gotta watch yourself if mid 40s and white 😂

How about moving on Gary Lineker and his 2mil a year wage😕
 
Delighted to hear georgie bingham has left talksport what a horrible egotistical personality. Phil thomson and his Liverpool bias gone is also a blessing. Cant stand the oafish ian wright and jaime carragaher they would be top on my wish list to go. Anyone know whats happened to garth crooks seems to have vanished off the planet

I would absolutely agree re Alex Scott - clueless.
 
Must admit it's years since I've had the sound on for that programme. Cannot stand any of them to be honest - inarticulate and with very little of note to add to the analysis of the modern game.

That said, out of the myriad "expert analysers" there's probably only one (Gary Neville) who I find vaguely interesting. The guys on BT with James Richardson for Champions League coverage are also pretty good as they have some genuine insight about leagues/clubs you might not watch week in/week out.

While we’re at it can female players stop saying they are arsenal or Chelsea players no you play for arsenal ladies and that is world away from being an arsenal player.

See also; have and of, too and to, their and there. However, the one that gets me is the use of the wrong tense, ie “The club is badly ran“, rather than run.

Now I’m not the world’s strongest advocate of females in male sports in the world but even I think that’s ridiculous to get upset over. 😀

So by the same token any female who has played for England at test level can’t call themselves an England cricketer? You have to quantify it?

I really don’t care. They can call themselves what they want.

No what I mean is the they equate their playing experience as arsenal ladies to ozul etc at the Emirates. I’m not against female pundits or even non player pundits ( as most explayers are awful) but I’m sick of the tokenism we’re seeing now.
 
I think we’re seeing change right across the board in the broadcast industry— out with the old and in with the new I guess. If you don’t like it then as most have suggested just turn it off.
