I listened to Stephen Graham on Desert Island Discs a couple of years ago and was very surprised to find out he’s black.

If you've ever seen the film This is England, I believe this was a key reason why Stephen Graham was chosen to play the part of Combo.
He resents Milky because he's jealous that Milky had a good family, whereas Combo's Dad wasn't there for him, hence him answering with "Nigg*rs", when Milky asks him what makes a bad Dad.

His Jamaican accent in "Yardie" is absolutely spot on. He has a Jamaican grandfather, so it makes sense.

A lot of people seem surprised to learn Vin Diesel is half black. I always thought it was obvious, although when you see him with hair it’s harder to see.

This was a surprise. Mind you, looking at his brother you can tell he is mixed race.
