Payero

Bola's told Wilder he isn't happy, wants to play for a club as LB, not LWB. I assume Coulson is back as a precaution should Bola decide to leave.
Yeah probably. I know it’s only bishop Auckland but Bola looked so comfortable yesterday at LCB. I think Coulson will probably leave regardless to be honest

It was July 2nd, we had visited Bishop Auckland and played two different teams in a kickabout.
I get that people are excited for the new season, but some perspective perhaps required.
Nobody has any real info why Payero missed the fixture, there could be loads of reasons.
Why so much drama?

I agree all I’m saying is it’s a concern giving the reasons for him not getting a run last season was due to niggly injuries. If it’s a theme that continues which now looks to be the case it’s something we need to be wary of.

Plenty as he was on the bench or warning up but warnock didn’t pick him instead opting to promote his T star we’ve just offloaded to jock football.

Warnock had it in for him from day 1.
He played under Warnock far more than he did under Wilder. If Warnock had it in for him then I daren't think how you'd describe Wilder's treatment of him. Wilder got away with it because he doesn't have the same reputation of favouring a particular style of football.

Personally I don't think either manager treated him badly. And Warnock choose the same midfielders ahead of Payero that Wilder chose. Unless you were hoping for Payero to be converted into a winger, Olusunya playing had zero bearing on whether or not Payero made the team. I just hope that next season he's still around the squad, as there's certainly a good player in there, he just needs an opportunity for a run in the team and to stay fit long enough to show it.

Wilder clearly does not like the lad, Obviously there is some issue between them, language barrier, commitment, I don't know but if he says he is injured you have got to believe him. I had high hopes for this lad too.

Every Boro fans wants all our players to do well. Payero has been an enigma. He does not appear to be our managers choice. I think we will just have to accept the lad is going to be moved on. Good luck for the future, that future looks to be elsewhere.

Payero’s in Argentina though, isn’t he?

Only gleaned that from his Insta but he’s definitely not around and training. Which for me is fine, mental long season and let the lad have a holiday.
